The 5 Best Saas Youtube Channels: My Rankings
Of all social media platforms, YouTube is probably my favorite. Good content creators produce in-depth videos that go so far beyond short posts on LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
So I’ve always been looking for new SaaS creators to subscribe to if their videos are useful enough.
Here are my favorite channels that I think any SaaSpreneur should be aware of. I’ll keep this list updated over time.
1. MicroConf
MicroConf, led by Rob Walling, is a go-to channel for indie SaaS founders and those building bootstrapped businesses. He might even have been the one to coin the term “micro-SaaS”.
With 90k subscribers, it’s one of the most popular SaaS channels, with practical advice and real-world examples for people running or starting smaller-scale SaaS companies.
Rob, who also co-founded TinySeed (a SaaS accelerator), shares his experience in growing "micro" SaaS without the need for big investors. He’s been involved with hundreds of SaaS companies, so he knows the industry better than just about anyone.
2. SaaStr
SaaStr is the channel to watch if you're serious about scaling a B2B SaaS company.
SaaStr focuses mostly on B2B industry trends and building growth pipelines. Their videos mostly consist of talks from well-known speakers and founders at their conferences.
I think it’s really underrated based on the quality of the videos.
3. Simon Høiberg
I found Simon’s channel in the last year when he was sharing the results of launching one of his new companies.
He’s a serial SaaSpreneur who owns four products (as of now).
Simon shares his personal journey, and is about as transparent about numbers, experiment results, etc. as you could ask for.
And his videos are extremely well made. Like seriously, I’m pretty sure he makes them himself but they look like a full production team made them.
4. Starter Story
While not exclusively focused on SaaS, Starter Story features a significant number of videos that dive into the world of SaaS entrepreneurship.
This channel is all about sharing detailed case studies of how various businesses—many of them SaaS—were founded and scaled to success.
With a focus on transparency, Starter Story provides in-depth insights into the journeys of entrepreneurs, showcasing their challenges, strategies, and victories.
The case studies are well-researched and offer valuable lessons for anyone looking to start or grow their own business. If you’re interested in real-life examples of entrepreneurial success, especially in the SaaS space, this channel is a great resource for inspiration and actionable insights.
5. Nathan Latka
Nathan Latka’s channel features engaging interviews with SaaS founders, though they typically release every 1-2 weeks rather than daily as the tagline suggests.
Each video dives deep into discussions about growing and scaling SaaS businesses, offering valuable insights straight from those who have successfully navigated the journey. Nathan’s style is conversational and informative, making complex topics accessible and relatable.
Whether you're just starting out or looking to take your SaaS business to the next level, these interviews provide a wealth of knowledge on strategies, challenges, and real-world experiences.
Bonus: Matt Diggity
While Matt Diggity's channel isn't solely focused on SaaS, it’s arguably the best resource for anyone looking to master SEO.
And if you’ve read any of our case studies, you’ve seen that SEO is arguably the most important channel for SaaS growth.
He runs a well-known agency and consistently releases new experiments and research that he’s working on in digestible 5-10 minute videos for the most part.
